Girls Youth Program 2021

Waikato Football Academy are excited to announce a Girls Only training program for 2021.

Our ambition with our new program is a girls only Skills Centre with female coaching presented in an environment that nurtures player confidence, supports ambition and provides challenges for those who seek it. We will focus strongly on skill acquisition, technical and tactical aspects as well as player wellbeing.

We are currently asking for Registration of Interest for young female players aged 7 – 17 of all abilities. Our program will act in support of the WaiBOP Female Talent Development Program (which focus on U13 and U15 age groups currently).

New Partnership with Claudelands Rovers – signed, sealed and about to be delivered in 2021

Waikato Football Academy are excited to announce a new partnership in delivering elite level football to youth at Claudelands Rovers. Mark Cossey, director of Waikato Football Academy and Keith Fraser, Claudelands Youth Rep, put pen to paper to ensure a new level of Youth development is delivered at Claudelands Rovers in 2021.

The program is integrated into the Federation Youth aspect of football development. It focusses on both the team and the individual skills of players. The program will work by integrating individual development of players into a third training during the week. It is during this third training that players will experience different coaches and learning environments along with following NZF training concepts for the serious Kiwi footballer.
