Waikato Football Academy is pleased to be able offer our football-based holiday program at Morrinsville AFC. We have been working with Morrinsville on delivering development opportunities to junior players at Morrinsville AFC this year.
The holiday program will run both weeks Tuesday – Thursday. It is $30 per day with family discounts available.
There is no minimum days to book and we are flexible with last minute bookings – just flick us an email ([email protected]).

Registrations are now open for our Football based Holiday Program in the July School Holidays.
Dates are Week One – 12th – 15th July and Week Two – 19th – 22nd July.
Book as many or as few days as you like, family and multiple day (4+) discounts available.
The holiday program is based around football however, other activities are also planned. Once the registration form has been received, you will receive a confirmation email outlining further details.

Waikato Football Academy is excited to be working with WaiBOP Goalkeeping Coach and Claudelands Mens 1st team Keeper, Seamus Casey for the remainder of this Term. Seamus is a FFA/AFC Advanced Level GK Coach and is currently sitting his FFA/AFC B Licence.
Seamus is passionate about working with Goalkeepers since he is one himself. He is currently delivering a WaiBOP GoalKeeping Academy for Intermediate and Advanced Keepers and will soon be working with Junior keepers (details here: http://www.waibopfootball.co.nz/PLAYERS/Goalkeeping-2).
We are very excited to be able to offer our goalkeepers that extra bit of training specific to their playing position.
We are super excited to have Olivia on board and she is absolutely looking forward to working with our next generation of female youth players.
So where does Olivia fit in? Olivia will focus primarily on our 14-17 age group and will also be offering One on One sessions and small group sessions during Term Two (Days/Times yet to be confirmed).

Fun facts about Olivia:
⚽ She made her debut for the Football Ferns in 2011
⚽ Ex-player for Claudelands Rovers as a teenager
⚽ Scored a hatrick in the 2010 Grand Final of the Knockout Cup as a 16 year old, ensuring Claudelands won the prestigious Cup.
⚽ Has previously played overseas for Everton, Bristol City, Sheffield United and Brisbane Roar
⚽ She has also gained coaching experience at all overseas clubs she has played for.

Registrations are now open for Term Two of our Girls Youth Program. This is an exciting new program we are building for Girls football, with lots of options depending on commitment levels. This term we will be intending to hold workshops for both players and parents on Nutrition for performance and Injury prevention. We are also encouraging a new youth strength and conditioning/fitness program called “Movement Snacking” – a fun, 4-week movement course I’ve designed for young athletes who want to move better, defend against injury AND improve their game.

Waikato Football Academy are excited to announce their new partnership with Morrinsville AFC to deliver a Skills Centre to their members as well as surrounding clubs and schools. The Skills Centre program has been developed inline with New Zealand Football directives for developing young players.
The Skills Centre is an excellent addition to our overall aim of providing football opportunities for all players. Players aged 7 – 14 are invited to register for the Centre.

Christina from the Waikato Football Academy will be attending the Morrinsville AFC Open Day on Saturday 27th of March – feel free to come and have a chat about what we have to offer.
Waikato Football Academy are excited to announce the addition of another age group to the Skills Centre. Players aged 15-17 are invited to register and continue their football development in an elite program.
This age group with follow a slightly different curriculum set by NZF in the form of the Talent Development area. This area will focus less on fundamental skills and more on technical execution, tactical ability, mental and physical aspects of player development.
This age group will be coached by Anthony Wright, an Oceania C license holder who is also coaching the 15th Grade Youth Talent team at Claudelands Rovers this year.
The Centre sessions will start Monday nights from the 15th of February, 4.15 – 5.30pm, Galloway Park.

Waikato Football Academy are excited to announce a Girls Only training program for 2021.
Our ambition with our new program is a girls only Skills Centre with female coaching presented in an environment that nurtures player confidence, supports ambition and provides challenges for those who seek it. We will focus strongly on skill acquisition, technical and tactical aspects as well as player wellbeing.
We are currently asking for Registration of Interest for young female players aged 7 – 17 of all abilities. Our program will act in support of the WaiBOP Female Talent Development Program (which focus on U13 and U15 age groups currently).
