Academy duo heads to England

All the best to Dallyn Smith and Jack Marden who later this week will be heading to the UK with Football Fusion for a tailored tour where they play matches against some of England’s premier club academies.

This is an amazing opportunity for these past Waikato Football Academy players to gain exposure they need to earn invaluable experience while also giving them a stage to showcase their talent in front of scouts and coaches of premiership-level team’s.

Dallyn and Jack will be joined by players from Auckland, Napier and Australia and their schedule includes games against Maidstone, Queens Park Rangers, Watford, Leatherhead, Fulham and Ipswich.

Waikato Football Academy has a goal to develop the skills of its players which could lead to opportunities overseas. We have had players who have been under our coaching achieve these goals – we assisted James Davies and Dominic Edwards in their trials and subsequent contracts with Torquay Academy and Henry Crayton with his university scholarship in America. Our association with Football Fusion allows us to assist more players with their dream to play at the highest level possible.

We look forward to following Dallyn and Jack on their journey – “Follow your football dreams, and you will reach your football goals”.
